Too often we go through life worrying about pleasing others. Worrying about what they will think.
Am I a bad parent?
The house is a mess!
I’ve left him in-front of CBeebies all day.
I just cannot be bothered to play.
He won’t eat veg or fruit today!
Why won’t he sleep?
What am I doing wrong!
Sometimes forgetting what’s best for us, not focusing on what’s most important to us. Focusing on the way you want things to be. That’s where I need to be.
Sometimes we don’t realise just how much of a good job, we are actually doing.
Our child is loved.
Our child is fed, happy and cared for.
If that is you;
Stop!
Think!
Take a step back and then think about what you want your next step to be.
Focus on YOU!
Be who you want to be. It doesn’t matter how many times we think we have failed. How many times we say to ourselves ‘what am I doing wrong’
What matters is that we don’t sing from the same song!
What matters is we get up again, we try again, even if it means seeking support.
Because there is no weakness in seeking support.
Mummy Thomas
It’s lovely to see you back again, Kerry! This is such a great post and such an important message too. Especially at the moment, things are so different, we can only do our best and be kind to ourselves and each other. Thanks for sharing, missed reading your posts! Hope you are doing okay and having a good weekend ❤ xx
