Product Reviews for New parents.

I was given a baby monitor at my baby shower. This was one of the most important things for me. Even more so after what happened. We had the Angelcare deluxe monitor with movement sensor. It’s great. Here are a few of the following features;

• The under-the-mattress sensor Pad monitors all your baby’s movements, even the slightest ones. An alarm will sound if no movement has been detected for 20 seconds.

• It has variable sensitivity settings which can be adjusted as your baby grows and becomes more active. The monitor also has the flexibility to meet your specific needs, it monitors movement and sound, sound only or movement only

• It also has a room temperature display that will let you know how warm your baby’s room is, and an alarm will sound if the room gets too hot or too cold.

• The optional “Tic” sound feature reassures you that the monitor is working even when your baby is sleeping silently.

• The halo on the Nursery Unit acts as a soothing night light and allows you to check on your baby with minimal disruption.

IMPORTANT: The Sensor Pad can be used with most baby mattresses. However, it cannot be used with memory foam mattresses or mattresses with a hollow frame.

It takes a while to get use to the ticking sound but I am a light sleeper. It does reassure you when there’s nothing but silence in the babies room and the tic is optional. Overall it’s an amazing product that got a paranoid, anxious mother through the first year. It is also a night light, an added bonus as she still uses it now two years on.

The Munchkin Miracle 360 Rim 7oz training cup

Its wonderful. No spills and it’s perfect for your little one’s teeth. It’s designed to be as if they were drinking from a normal cup. My dentist suggested this to me as it’s kinder on their teeth. Once she got to the age of having juice I brought this and I haven’t looked back. She loves it. You can start off with the training cup with handles, the next step is bigger without handles and they do all fun different designs.

Gro bag black out blind

We love this product and the fact you can just pack it in a bag and take it anywhere is an added bonus for holidays or staying at the grandparents house.

It has suction pads to attach to the window. The design is black with stars on, so it doesn’t look to ugly stuck up there. It lets no light through and you can adjust the size as it has Velcro pads all over the back to adjust the length or width. We use this throughout the summer as soon as those summer nights come in.

Gro bag sleeping bags

A good buy and safe which is want we all want. They do all different sizes. Admittedly, they are an expensive buy but mine lasted forever and I was continuously washing and tumble drying them. Due to sick, poo and dribble. Oh the joys. They do lots of lovely designs, material, thickness and weather depending.

Oilatum head to toe bath wash and zinc and caster oil cream

If your baby/toddler has sensitive skin and is prone to rashes. This is great. My daughter has sensitive skin and was constantly getting nappy rashes, she had to be prescribed cream to treat it. This bath wash has done wonders and since using this and zinc and caster oil bum cream she is nappy rash free.

Clothes

Something I found to be helpful. We all love to shop at Next to begin with but it becomes so expensive when our baby is throwing up and pooping all over their baby grows and vests. It’s nice to have the odd expensive items and Next is great for t-shirts,leggings and shorts. But Primark is cheap and they wash lovely. I was even able to tumble dry them and they didn’t shrink. She went through so many that cost wise Primark was the best choice.

Teething gel and powder

My daughter suffered a lot with her teeth. She started at 3 months old. We used Bonjela to begin with but she didn’t like the taste. We went on to use Dentinox that was great and she loved the Teetha sachets of powder to. You could see her rubbing it along her gums. It kept the pain away for a while.

The Summer infant slumber buddy is lovely. It plays lovely soothing melodies to help baby sleep and has a 30 minute auto shut off. It has different coloured lights that project stars and moons on the ceiling. It comes in different animal designs.
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any questions regarding products and if I can I’m happy to help.
